Simple Recipes From Our Recent Grocery Trip

Some basic meals, right off the top of my head, based on what we had on hand, or what we purchased on our last shopping trip, which can be seen here.


  • Breakfasts:
  • Eggs and Cheese, (we still had about 3 dozen eggs, 1 doz from a friends chickens, the others from the store) (cheese purchased this week)
  • Oatmeal (purchased this week AND some we had on hand)
  • Pancakes (we use Pamela's baking mix, large bag, we have enough on hand right now, I didn't have to purchase more)
  • Leftovers
  • Repeat!
 
  • Lunches:
  • Leftovers
  • Dump Soups (I toss in anything that needs to be eaten, and add water, milk, and some chicken broth)
  • Warm beans, over a salad with chopped carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, and a little shredded cheese
  • Black Bean Brownies, with milk (yes, I make a desserty meal, lol)
  • Hot dogs and beans, with salad
  • Repeat!
 
  • Dinners:
  • Cajun Baked Chicken, over quinoa, with salad
  • Lemon Chicken, over Cauli-rice, with salad
  • Potatoes(which we got a 20lb bag for $5 last week), ground beef, shredded cheese and salad
  • Sweet Potato, with Greek yogurt, left over lemon chicken, salad
  • Baked Cod, with steamed broccoli, with buttah!


  • Snacks:
  • Veggies sticks, yogurt dip
  • Eggs
  • Raisins, and applesauce
  • Cheese cubes, diced chicken, turnips (we love them raw!)
 




That's all I have right now, I had the spices to make all that, and I don't follow recipes. I usually just add a little here, a little there. But I'll try to make an approximate recipe as I make them up, and add them to the blog. :)
